Septic Flesh from English translates "rotting flesh". The name was suggested by Spyros's friend Antoniou, but Sotiris Vagenas strongly disagreed with this name of the group, considering it too death metal and suggested its name - Cemetery (from English - "cemetery"). As a result, the band chose the name Septic Flesh.
